600% mehr GEMA Gebühren - Petition
Wie das Handelsblatt kürzlich berichtete möchte die GEMA mehr Geld an Konzerten verdienen. Grund hierfür seien die sinkenden Einnahmen des Tonträgermarktes, die vor allem durch illegale Downloads zustandekommen. Nun will die GEMA (Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs- und mechanische Vervielfältigungsrechte) die Gebühren für Live-Veranstaltungen um bis zu 600% erhöhen und am Live-Geschäft deutlich mehr verdienen. Dies wirkt sich in erster Linie negativ auf kleine Veranstaltungen und Künstler aus, aber auch Konzertbesucher müssen vermutlich deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen, die Ticketpreise werden dadurch selbstverständlich auch höher.

Um dagegen vorzugehen wurde eine Petition beim Deutschen Bundestag eingereicht, damit dieser die Abrechnungsmethode der GEMA überprüft und dass das Handeln der GEMA auf ihre Vereinbarkeit mit dem Grundgesetz, Vereinsgesetz und Urheberrecht überprüft werde und eine umfassende Reformierung der GEMA in Hinblick auf die Berechnungsgrundlagen für Kleinveranstalter, die Tantiemenberechung für die GEMA-Mitglieder, Vereinfachung der Geschäftsbedingungen, Transparenz und Änderung der Inkasso-Modalitäten vorgenommen werde.
